The only thing that was keeping me from purchasing these speakers was price, except later catching them at a significant ill price here, i jumped at the accidental to buy these. These are not my first set of surround sound speakers actually, others are my second inside the room. My computer has been using klipsch promedia 4.1’s as years, except later getting and hdtv and an xbox 360, the tv’s speakers were poorly lacking. Concidering many options, equal buying a customer a customer amplifier and speaker setup, or buying these admirable computer speakers… I decided with the later, cause others are so versitile. They emanate with a dolbydigital and prologic ii decoder! which was the most important, accompanying with optical and numerical coax inside (along with headphone jacks as the traditional computer in) its a 5.1 which is true surround equal from the greater number of movie titles, and the speakers are just awesome inside sound and quality. The ill-conditioned is fricken huge and has a heatsink on it cause i think it tin get rather friendly (the decoder is the pre-amp) but the ill-conditioned is powerful too! The first tempo i tried the speakers out at full volume a picture frame fell off the wall! Haha! ^_^
The only down side is that sound from regular rca jacks cannot be pluged into the pre-amp, except you tin buy rca-to-minijack (headphone plug) adaptors that work dispassionately capably (and others still tin decode prologic ii encoded sound!) And logitech z-5500 speakers only has one optical and numerical out, except at this price you cant find anything better.
